This past Saturday, Everybody Growing Church hosted our annual iReach event, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better turnout. It was a great time of activities, food, and fun for families from across the Stittsville/Greater Ottawa area.
Kids ran straight for the obstacle course bouncy castle, which stayed busy all day. As always, the school bus was a hit, and this year we were excited to welcome both a fire truck and RCMP vehicle for kids to explore up close. There was a lot of excitement around those vehicles—and some wide-eyed future firefighters, bus drivers, and police officers, too.
Creative activities were everywhere—chalk art, painting, and face painting gave kids the chance to get expressive. There were also plenty of games and prizes, including our biggest giveaway: an “All Around Ottawa” prize pack including 6 gift cards for Altitude Gym, Extreme Trampoline, FunHaven, Dairy Queen, and more.
We served hot dogs and sweet treats throughout the event, and it was great to see families take time to sit down, eat, and connect with each other in between activities.
At its heart, iReach is about community. It’s about offering something fun, free, and family-friendly to anyone who wants to come. We’re always encouraged to see new faces, recognize familiar ones, and watch people enjoy time together.
