This past Saturday evening, our Taste of the World fundraiser at Everybody Growing Church was nothing short of extraordinary. With over 200 guests gathered together, we celebrated not just global cuisine, but our shared goal to “Move the Mission.”
A Feast That Brings People Together
Food brings people together. Our talented chefs (our church family!) poured their hearts into dishes from Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, India, the Philippines, Africa, Haiti, Tex-Mex, and Vegan specialties (and more!) and, of course, the crowd-favourite homemade pies, cakes, and cookies. Each plate told a story, representing the love and diversity within our community.
Worship in Every Tongue
After enjoying dinner together, we spent some time in worship, featuring different languages. This was beautifully led by our EGC worship team alongside the wonderful River Church from Gatineau. It was a powerful reminder of the multicultural family of God.
Volunteers: The Heartbeat Behind the Success
To our incredible volunteers: you were the real MVPs of the evening. From set-up to service to clean-up, you carried the vision forward. You helped turn a great night into a truly unforgettable experience.
Raising Funds for What Matters
Thanks to your generosity and participation, every ticket sold helped fuel our mission. Proceeds from the evening go toward supporting Move the Mission, continued youth programs, and other disciple-making efforts central to our heartbeat as a church.
Looking back, Taste of the World 2025 was more than a meal—it was a moment where community, culture, and calling intersected. If you missed it this year, don’t worry! We will be back again next year, moving the mission forward!
